 A must for couch surfing! December 3, 2008
I have 2 laptop holders that I use constantly. This one is perfect for sitting on the couch or floor. I love being able to tuck the tv remote and a notebook and pen in the center. I was worried about the fabric staying clean but another review said it was easy to clean so I ordered it, with 3 kids, 4 dogs and many cats I have to say so far (2 months) everything has brushed right off and it still looks brand new. I liked it so much I got the Belkin Laptop Hider! Belkin Laptop Hideaway (Chocolate/Tourmaline)
It's very stable and just the right height. My laptop runs warm (sony vaio) but I never ever feel it with this holder.
 Blocks cooling vents December 2, 2008
The firm surface is still too soft for the laptop. Before too long my laptop's "legs" sunk into the padding. The bottom was then completely sitting on the fabric and blocked the air vents, no different than using a pillow. They should just make a 15" model and a 17" model with one hardened side. Laptop's need a hard surface to sit on, not a firm surface. Bought an xpad and like it very much.

Love this LapTop pad! We got two! Keeps the lap top from overheating since its much better than placing it on your bed or surface that dont allow the vents to circulate out the hot air. Works great on your lap as well and keeps your lap from getting hot! Come in different colors. Its says that the opening in the middle of the cushpad can be used for storage, but my mouse doesnt fit in there..
I would recommend this product!
Sturdy product, but not enough traction November 14, 2008
I desperately need a 'lap desk' for my macbook and unfortunately this product does not make the grade. It is pretty sturdy it seems, but for my macbook the Cushtop's smooth covering material and lack of a 'lip' mean that if it is held at even a slight angle, the laptop quickly slides forward. It is also a bit too high for comfort when working in my armchair. It seems ok if I am sitting completely upright, but I like to kick my feet up! I am sending this one back and will order an iLap. I've heard nothing but good things about those from other mac users.
Useful and Comfortable Product November 6, 2008
I have a couple of these for use at home and on the road. The height they keep the notebook at and the comfort make these my favorite for lap top use.
