Almost January 8, 2009 I own quite a few pairs of "cute shoes". And cute shoes are not known for their comfort. Several of them are almost unbearable. I bought this shoe stretcher set to try and remedy this "cute shoe" problem. So far, I have used the shoe stretche on two pairs of leather heels. Both pairs have stretched some, but not enough. I attempted to wear one pair after streching them with the stretchers for several days. They seemed okay initially, but by the end of the day I realized they hadn't stretched enough. The problem I have with the strether is that it doesn't fit in my shoes as it should. I wear a 6.5 (average width) and the stretcher is almost too big to fit in my shoes. It is quite difficult to get the stretchers into my shoes. If you wear a larger size the stretcher will probably work better than it does on my 6.5 shoes. However, it probably will not fit well into most sizes of pointed toe shoes. I plan to continue to try and fix my "cute shoes" and maybe use a shoe stretch spray in addition. I haven't given up on this product yet.
wooden 2 way shoe stretcher December 5, 2008 This company failed to give me my package. I was told by Colonial Medical that I would get it by the first week of December. I haven't gotten them yet. Not happy at all! I have canceled my order.
materials inside are of poor quality November 24, 2008 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I received two shoe stretchers about 1 month ago and just today one of the stretchers broke on me. I took the stretcher apart and noticed that the inside materials were made of plastic. The screw that you turn to widen the stretcher had gone completely through the plastic "bullet looking" item which made it impossible for the stretcher to widen. This was only the second time that I used the stretcher and I am very disappointed with the quality of this item. I intend to write to the company in the hopes of getting a replacement piece so that I can continue to use the stretcher as the rest of materials seem to be okay. Buyer beware of hidden poor quality materials!!
wooden shoe stretchers October 30, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I feel these stretchers worked really well. I used them with the spray that also helps stretch the leather. I had them in my shoes for an overnite-but didn't notice any significant change-so I then stretched them for about 4 days and saw a difference. My suggestion is that you need to use the stretchers for several days to get a better outcome. These wooden shoe stretchers are great because you can choose to stretch the length or the width(or both at the same time). Definitely will use these again if needed.
pain free feet September 16, 2008 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
These were more than what I was looking for. I bought 2 sets. They stretched the exact position in the shoe where I needed it the most.
