a good and better value replacement for POLAR HRM January 6, 2009 My Polar HRM strapband decided not to work after 6 months. I tried many ways to resurrect it, using some water and cleaning it up etc, no way. Calling Polar and writing e-mail for help, NO result, not even a reply and a human being on the other side of the call. So I wrote off my hundred dollar investment in POLAR and buy Omron. I have very very good experience with Omron Pedometer HJ 112. It fell many times and more than 3 times into bowl of water. It still works fine and delver results.
So I bought this Omron HR100C RM and find that it works fine and surprisingly it works wit my still working Polar watch. So using the Omron strap and Polar watch I can still exercise and get my HR. Not only it is much cheaper ($35 vs $100) but you get te assurance of Omron quality. I also bought an Omron blood pressure monitor EM 790IT from Amazon to complete my Omron set
My next purchase probably is an Omron pedometer, te one that can connect to my desktop computer for recording.
Wireless Heart Rate Monitor Watch November 30, 2008 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
This product was perfect for monitoring my heart rate during my exercise periods. I have high blood pressure and I am currently taking four blood pressures drugs each day. This product gives me the perfect way of getting the most out of my workouts (walking currently) without putting my health in danger. By staying within a 75% to 85& of my maximun recommended heart rate, I can easily adjust my workout (walking speed) to fall in a safe zone for my physical condition. Even though the batteries on my first watch monitor were dead, I would still rate this product with five stars because of the way the company took care of the matter in a fast and professional way.
Heart rate monitor January 7, 2008 15 out of 17 found this review helpful
I appreciate having the monitor because I work out and need to know how my heart is doing. I use it to improve my exercising, stamina and endurance. I liked it so much I bought one for my son. I like the monitor as well, because I can use it with any piece of exercise equipment that has the heart rate monitor on it and see my pulse on the machine.
Excellent product April 28, 2006 7 out of 8 found this review helpful
I highly recommend this heart rate monitor. It works fabulous. I am an elite athlete and it has helped me take my fitness to a whole other level by making sure i am working to my best ability. It is very easy to use if you just look through the 4-5 page instruction booklet that comes with it. everything is pretty much self explanitory.
Excellent Product and OUTSTANDING Service January 19, 2006 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
I bought this for my mother for Christmas, and she loves it. She got a little treadmill for Christmas as well, so she uses it every day. Now my sister wants one!
I just wanted to add that my mom had a "slight problem" with the unit when she first opened it, and that problem was due to my mother's... shall we say... lack of technological saavy. The monitor is very easy to use, and my mom did the equivilent of trying to start a car by looking for the crank on the front of the radiator.
But she called the company, Omron, and spoke to someone named Raquel, and I think Raquel would have flown to New Hampshire to help my mom out. She was fabulous, and I must say that kind of service is worth a sixth star for this product.
Again, my mom loves the monitor enough to pitch it to my sister, so that's a big thumbs-up in my eyes.
