could be easier to adjust December 24, 2008 I bought this product for a friend who had a regular digital thermometer and found it extremely complicated to adjust. There are only two buttons which serve the purpose of adjusting time, date, F or C display and everything else... The "press and hold" then immediately press the other button is quite annoying. After we finally managed to adjust everything, it works pretty well, which is the least I could expect from a Samsung product. It could definitely be more user-friendly.
This device works well December 18, 2008 This thermometer works well. It provides accurate readings and only takes about a second from pushing the button to displaying the temperature. My toddler likes having his temperature taken with it -- the device is fast and easy, so it feels like a game to him.
DOA December 7, 2008 I bought this thermometer at Walmart & immediately took it home to try it out. I have been sick recently & wanted to see if I had a fever. I tried for about 1/2 hour to get it to read properly but it either read "lo" or something around 94 degrees. I was dissapointed & surprised as I own other Samsung products & am generally satisified w/ the brand. Probably a different division, or perhaps it was just bad luck on my part. I took mine back for a refund & will buy a different brand, perhaps a Braun as I have read good things about them.
Choose another thermometer November 29, 2008 We bought this thermometer from Walmart for our 6 month old and have had nothing but problems. The "low battery" sign has been on regardless of changing out to a new battery, not once but twice. Then it continues to show the temperature of not only our son, but also of ourselves to be around 94 degrees or too "Lo" to scan. We are finally breaking down and attempting to return to Walmart and will buy a different thermometer, hopefully with better results.
Quick as lightning and accurate October 8, 2008 What else could you want? You don't have to stick anything in your mouth (or in a worse place). It is clean, with results in less than a second. It is also accurate and almost impossible to fake. One can even use it to take temperatures of inanimate objects (within a limited range of temperatures). It is also light and quite intuitive. It is easier to use than just about any other digital thermometer I have ever found.
I can't think of anything else I would want in a thermometer. This one is a keeper.
