Good shaver, I wouldn't pay over 100 $ for it. Amazon delivery wasn't that fast even if I paid 25$ + to have it fast. That's probably because it had to go through border. Satisfy of the product overall. Don't make negative comment from seller, they will call you home to have it removed.

I have owned numerous Norelcos in the past, and kept them for 5-6 years each. So I gladly bought this one back in Aug 07. I was disappointed in Dec 07 when it had an electrical problem, turning itself on and off at will. But customer service was terrific, and they sent me a new one with no questions asked. Then that one went bac in Jul 09. Again, a replacement with no problem. Now in Dec 09 that one has gone bad as well -- out of warranty. I don't know if any shaver company is better, but I'm done with Norelco and will be trying Braun or Panasonic or Remington.

Have owned and used about six electric shavers. Without a doubt, this is the best one of all. Close shaves as good a razer. Easy to clean by running under the faucet. Been using it for about a year.
Very satisfactory shave; Not a substantial improvement over 2 blade models July 25, 2009

This is my 2nd Norelco and I am satisfied with it. My previous Norelco was a 2 row blade system which I had bought in 2001 used for 6 years. There was nothing wrong with my old shaver, but I thought this shaver would be a substantial improvement over the 2 blade system.
The good news is that this shaver is overall better than the older 2 blade system. The most significant improvement is the battery life. This shaver uses Lithium Ion batteries which lasts me about 2 months with a single charge (my old shaver lasted about 3 weeks). When you travel, chances are you will not need the recharger.
The bad news is that the shave, which the 2 blade system did beautifully, is not substantially improved over the 2 blade system. This is not necessarily bad since the 2 blade system was a very good shaver.
If you have the older 2 blade Norelco, you may want to keep it and change the blade once every two years. If you are looking for a new electric shaver, this shaver will give you a beautiful shave in a short duration with a very long battery life.

I had Norelco razors before that shaved well that used the lift and cut blades. With those razors you were supposed to shave with a rotating motion. With this razor if you shave with a rotating motion it pulls the whiskers out and it is very painful. You have to shave with and up and down motion, but you have to be very careful or it will still pull the whiskers out. This Speed XL shaver is much more expensive and does a bad job.
Shame on Norelco.
