Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
This Green Tea is 100% grown and processed in Japan. The Japanese method of processing tea uses steam to stop the fermentation process - unlike the Chinese method which calls for pan-frying the tea, the result is a lovely green color and a consistent flavor that, unlike other brands of green tea, is neither bitter, nor fishy cup after cup. In keeping with Japanese tradition, Kirkland Signature Green Tea is gently steamed, rolled and then dried. This minimal processing stops the oxidation and preserves the freshness, aroma, and color of the tea leaf. The nylon tea bags ensure that paper flavor does not interfere with the flavor of the tea. The tag has a slot pre-cut in it to fit on the edge of your cup so the string doesn't need to be long enough to flop over the side. Green Tea is a proven source of antioxidants, which promote eye health and aid the immune system.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent Tea.   January 2, 2009
I've always preferred coffee to tea, but I'm aware of the many claimed health benefits of green tea. My wife is Russian and prefers tea, but she drinks Earl Gray and types like that and doesn't care for green tea. Well, we were strolling through our local Costco Warehouse store and a lady offered us a small cup of green tea. We both took one. I thought it was quite good. My wife said it was the best green tea she had tasted. We walked away from the little display with a packet of Kirkland Signature Green Tea (100 bags).

Now, what are we ever going to do with all this tea? Well, we use it bit by bit and the supply is gradually lowering. Guests take it and it seems to please them all. I'm trying to drink it now and then for increasing my anti-oxidents. Hmmmm. Maybe I'll eventually be a tea lover. In any case, this is an excellent green tea.

5 out of 5 stars Delightful   December 24, 2008
First off, let me say I was never a huge fan of green tea. I would drink it occasionally because "they" say I should. Bought this green tea because I read that it has more health benefits than Chinese green tea because it's not fermented like the Chinese teas are. I was pleasantly surprised. I use a little raw sugar in mine and truly enjoy it. Haven't been able to place what the taste reminds me of yet, the closest I come is it reminds me of a meadow. Anyway, brew a cup, take it with you to soak in a bath and enjoy.

This product gives what is promised. The taste is the best I've tasted of all the green tea I've had. And with 100, you can never go wrong. Taste great!

I have been drinking green tea for over 20 years and I've never tasted anything like this. Do you remember the taste of "home grown" during the 70s? That's exactly what this tastes like. Pass on this one!
