Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
From the Devon Countryside in the South of England, rich cows milk with high butterfat content, gently heated to thicken and provide the essential ingredient to an English cream tea. This English Clotted Cream from The Devon Cream Company is rich and creamy at 55% milkfat. It doesn't require refrigeration until after opening. The main use is for the famous Devon and Cornish cream teas, which comprise of hot tea, scones, strawberry jam and of course cream. The cream is spread thickly onto the scones and topped with jam, for a traditional English "Cream Tea." It can also serve as a delicius and satisfying topping to waffles, fruit, and or ice cream. Most teahouses, homes, pubs and establishments serve cream teas during the summer months and it is a very popular tourist attraction.

I'm embarrassed to admit I bought this 3-pack for $32.95 = $10.95 each. I could have bought them individually for $7.99 each. I'm sure the cream is heavenly, but avoid the bundle.

5 out of 5 stars Buy this delicious clotted cream!!   November 20, 2006

Just what is clotted cream? You make clotted cream by heating and cooling milk, allowing the cream to rise in "clots," and then skimming the clots from the top. (This is sometime called Devonshire cream, as well.) The result is a thick yellowish spread that tastes to me like whipped butter, but sweeter and not salty.

Let me tell you, clotted cream is delicious, perfectly made to put on biscuits and (especially) scones. There is nothing as delicious as a scone, straight out of the oven, and spread with clotted cream! Find out what the British have known for generations - buy this delicious clotted cream!!
