Product Description For centuries, a staple in the diet of the captivating Mediterranean island nation of Cyprus, Halloumi has now gone beyond these borders to be loved worldwide. Combining the texture of mozzarella with the briny moisture of feta, Halloumiis easily one of the world's most versatile cheeses. Instead of melting when cooked, Halloumi browns beautifully, especially when grilled. Alternatively, this lively 100% pure sheep's milk cheese can be served fresh in a salad or sandwich.- Made from sheep's milk.

This stuff is amazing October 22, 2006 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Even if you're not any sort of vegetarian or health nut, you'll appreciate how great it tastes in relation to how quick and easy it is to prepare. Just fry it for 5 minutes, turning the pieces once or twice if you want them to brown on both sides. My only complaint is that it's not actually a good idea to fry it just in its own brine without any oil (as it sort of suggests you can do on the package,) if you don't use a nonstick pan. The brine, or whatever that liquid is, dries out as you fry and is hard to scrape off.
Perfect for BBQ July 5, 2005 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Cut it in slices and grill for a few minutes and you have an outstanding starter. Tastes a bit saltier and more tangy than a fresh mozzarella. Does not melt. This is a great 'no meat' option served with grilled veggies and flat bread
My kids LOVE it ! August 15, 2004 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Excellent after school snack for my kids. We bought it on a whim, and now we cannot get enough of it. You can freeze it, fry it, or eat it out of the package. We grill it in a pan and then stick toothpicks in it. The kids eat it up.
Beats the heck out of pop tarts after school....
