Dell Axim has both style and substance May 23, 2009 Alex E. Theresias (Miami, Fl USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This was a great product from Dell. Too bad they discontinued making the model. It has everything you could want in a PDA and more. I believe a lot of the cell phone companies use both the idea and concepts of the Dell Axim to shape their own product. Overall A+...
Be careful when buying this item February 17, 2009 Jesus Bastardo (West Virginia, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Be careful when buying this item, I wanted to buy this Axim X51v but i tried to buy it from a seller, this seller scammed me with the older model Axim x51 which doesn't even have the same processor, no wifi, no video card processor, not as much rom memory neither the 64mb.... my friend X51V rocks but careful... because the X51 is just a paperweight
bought AXIM x51v 3 weeks from NATHANSMITH;have not recieve it yet (11/1/08) November 1, 2008 Nathansmith!!!! (hongkong china) 1 out of 8 found this review helpful
I have bought this AXIM from NATHANSMITH a couple of weeks ago and I still have not recieved it. I believe that you should be cautious doing business with anyone who does not forfill their part of the business. I bought the AXIM form him a while back and til today (11/1/08) I have not recieve them item. I have emailed him 3x within the month because this a xmas present for a friend. yet there was no reply when i will recieve this item. because of this i am very frustrated and angry and i may take legal actions because on all parties and sue the hell outof you guys! thsi is totally mess up and I feel hoodwinked for not recieving my item. And I do not want to see a broken snet to me a couple of weeks later. No I have called my lawyers and filling papers right this minute. Mr nathan Smith you will get yours. What comes around goes around and if you need the lousy [...] you could have called and i would give you for free. but no you wanted to steal my money and tell me that it is on the way to my house. There is fireon the mountain nathansmith with your name on it. BEWARE everyone!!! Do not do business with thsi person because her can not live to his side and the bargin. Thanks and have a wonderful day.
Works fine but missing the cradle! September 8, 2008 Robert A. Gallaway (Cibolo, TX United States) 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
The Dell Axim X51v I purchased was a refurbished unit which I expected to come without some of the goodies (packaging, cables) that accompany a new unit. BUT, this unit lacked the cradle (a big deal in my book) as well as the plug that closes the large CF card opening in the top (cosmetic, but a serious shortcoming). The unit works perfectly well, but I was disappointed with the fact that it was missing pieces. If you already have an Axim X51 and need a replacement unit, this refurb is fine. You can replace the missing parts from your old one. Not recommended if you do not.
Dude, this thing sucks! July 26, 2008 Joe MacEntire (ME USA) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
This thing is just like a real Dell PC with a Windows OS--including the bugs, glitches, hangs, quirks, frustrations, and crashes! It's uncanny. After all the required and non-required patches (which take forever--and good luck navigating Dell's website!), it still perfoms like a steaming turd. Takes forever to boot up. Hit the power button and wait 20 seconds or so for the stupid "Dell" screen to go away. Now you enter your password, then wait 10 or 15 seconds for the numbers that you tapped to show up on screen. Now you've only got 10 or 15 seconds more to wait before the thing becomes responsive to your input. I got this thing so I could pull it out of my pocket and take notes/look something up quickly. I can do these things--just not quickly. I had a palm before this, and I never had a single issue. Hit the power button, then open your application. Instantly. Amazing. Do yourself a favor and get a palm or maybe an HP (haven't tried an HP yet, but you couldn't do worse than this turd.) Dell even inclues their crappy over-seas tech support! Go ahead, leave them a message on their site. Will they get back to you? Who knows! They never wrote me back. Wow, did I feel important.
