It offers users a simple, cost-effective port-expansion solution. Desktop users enjoy additional USB capability without the hassle of hard-to-reach ports in the back of the computer. It eliminates IRQ conflicts for the additional serial device and parallel-printer serial devices; if they already work on the system, they'll be automatically configured. This hub features individually switched ports, so that if one USB device fails, the rest will continue to operate. It also has auto-recovery technology so that if a port shuts down, it will automatically reset itself.
